Does PSB accept students that do not have a High School Diploma or GED?
YES, as long as the student can show and ability to benefit from going to PSB. The student must also pass a federally approved test as part of their admissions requirements.
I read that PSB is accredited, what does that mean exactly?
PSB spent the time and energy to complete the necessary steps for accreditation by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The U.S. Office of Education lists ACCSC as a nationally recognized accrediting agency under the provisions of Chapter 33, Title 38, U.S. Code, and subsequent legislation.
I know some colleges have large auditoriums where they hold some classes, does PSB have any?
NO. Although PSB has lots of classrooms, 50% of which are labs, none of the rooms are auditorium style. As a matter of fact the maximum class size at PSB is only 24 students.
The financial aid process seems difficult and I am sure it is hard to get assistance to go to school, right?
Actually, the process is fairly easy and PSB has a financial aid counselor who provide personal assistance in this process. Some other interesting facts to note are
- 96% of PSB students receive some type of financial assistance.
- 94% of PSB students receive the Federal Pell grant
